What we collect, and why
- Trade account applications. Your name, business name and contact details, your business address and VAT number if you give them, and anything else you write in the form. We use them to decide on your application and to run your trade account. Legal basis: taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
- The bot check on the application form. When you apply, Cloudflare's bot check (Turnstile) looks at your browser and internet address to tell a person from an automated spam program. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping fake applications out.
- Signing in. Your email address, to send you sign-in links. We record each sign-in, with the internet address it came from, to keep accounts safe. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
- Orders. What you order, your order reference and delivery details, to fulfil and invoice the order and for our accounting records. Legal basis: the contract with you, and our legal obligations.
- Orders signed with our sales representative. If you sign an order on our sales representative's tablet, we keep your name, your signature and the time you signed with the order, as the record that you placed it. Legal basis: the contract with you.
- Messages. What you send through the contact form, so we can answer it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- Searches and product views. Which products signed-in customers look at, and what is searched for, so we can improve the range and the site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the website and its database, which is located in Western Europe.
- Zoho sends the website's emails from our mailbox.
We do not sell personal data or pass it to anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
Sign-in and activity records are deleted after 90 days. Account and order records are kept while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as tax and company law require.
Cookies
This website sets one cookie, and only when you sign in. It keeps you signed in on that device until 30 days pass without a visit. It is strictly necessary for the site to work, so it needs no consent banner. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by contacting us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.
